About Me

Hey Everyone. I guess you'd like to know a little about me...lol. Well, I began my music training at the age of 8(piano). I grew up going to church, and listening to various styles of religious music. My inspiration were the keyboardists at church. Oh, and I'm originally from Louisville, KY. :-)) Since then, I had trainging in college and "street"...lol. God has truly blessed me. I've also had some training as a vocalist, as well. I can, now, play pretty much anything with a keyboard attached to it...lol. I've worked at various churches and institutions, including Phillips Academy and the New England Conservatory. I've traveled around the country, as well as, parts of the world conducting gospel music workshops. I've had the opportunity to play for various gospel artists like Tramaine Hawkins and Kurt Carr. In 2003, I came out with a cd(self-titled) on a local scale. Some of the songs are on here. The songs are some of my favorites growing up. Except for one song, they are all instrumental. I am working on 3 cd projects of my own, currently. There will be more vocals on these, as well as some instrumentals. Now, don't get me wrong, along the way, I've had to play for other events. Let's just say I've played pretty much for everything, except bar/bah mitzvah's...lol(no one called me for those...lol). Now, I play, direct, teach, arrange, compose, sing, workshops, etc. I just thank God for the ability to do what it is I do. All Praise and Glory to Him. I don't have a website as of yet, but if you'd like to email me, my business addie is [email protected].

Influences: Oh, I have many influences. And, I'm still collecting them...lol. But some I can list are, Chopin, Beethoven, Debussy, Richard Smallwood, Thomas Whitfield, Jr., Bobby Lyle, George Duke, Oscar Peterson, Art Tatum and Donny Hathaway, just to name a few. There is this one person who began my road to improvisation, and his name is Leon French. There are others who God placed in my life to help me be the musician I am, now. I'd like to give a shout to Marilyn Gardner(Edwards) and Ralph Ford, again to name a few.
