History and Current Events are one-in-the-same right now...
I'm into current world events and their historical origins. I really like all kinds of history because I think it gives us a perspective for living today.
Speaking of living...well...art is a great way to enrich your life, either by purchasing or viewing for free. If you can make the trip, I recommend The 2nd Floor Gallery . It's located in the growing art mecca of Mechanicsburg, near Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Yeah, and a few others...
The Beatles, Green Day, Santana, Finger Eleven, Daughtry, Linkin Park, Lifehouse, Five For Fighting, Sheryl Crow, John Mayer, Matchbox 20, The Doors, The Windows (just checking to see if you're paying attention), Billy Joel, Ray Charles, U2, Pink Floyd, Earth Wind & Fire, Chicago, Alan Parsons Project, Styx, Bob Seger; Guitar Heroes: Clapton, Hendrix, Beck (sorry kids, I mean Jeff Beck); almost any classic rock, philly soul, dance music--even disco--especially Donna Summer; any fusion of different music types to creat something new--including techno and trance, some hiphop, jazz; comedy and parody; 21st Century Stuff (yes, Susan, they still make good music): Fergie, Plain White T's, Blue October, Augustana, Evanescence, Red Hot Chili Peppers, All American Rejects, Matt Kearney, Snow Patrol, The Fray, Hinder, Coldplay, Nickelback; Moby, Enigma, Enya; Live Music: my 6 year old, Ethan who conducts and plays concerts nightly at our house--and you better pay attention!
Movies:
Memento (I have to write things down to remember too!); Good Will Hunting; Mr. Holland's Opus; Somewhere in Time;
Altered States; Girl Interrupted; Chariots of Fire; Airplane!; The Naked Gun series; Hot Shots! & Part Deux; Scarey Movie series; The Story of Us; Wedding Crashers; The Wedding Singer; It Could Happen To You--so I'm a romantic, Dig it; Unbreakable; The Sixth Sense; Crash; Forest Gump
Television:
FSTV (Dish Network Channel 9415)--okay so they get a little out-of-control sometimes LOL; Public TV--especially Frontline and Nova; The History Channel; Mad Men--great series on AMC; 6 Feet Under--especially the finale; The Sopranos--business is tough so I can relate!; CSI and spinoffs when I can watch them--which is almost never--but cool opening music!
Books:
Elija's Cup (a true account of an autistic child);
New Rules--Bill Mahr; Metamorphasis--Kafka; map books (I know, it's pathetic but I like to study them);
Joel Whitburn's music reference books (there again...);
The Bible (an early account of the birth of all three major western religions) It's just too bad that they can't agree on the ending.
Heroes:
My son Ethan and his loving mom, Susan;
My late grandmother, who taught me personal responsibility; My Dad who has always encouraged me to think big, my Mom who is a self appointed advocate for the less fortunate and has always encouraged openmindedness; Benjamin Franklin who excelled in business and patriotism and graciously gave away the rights to many of his inventions; The military troops who have sacrificed much for a sometimes impossible job; Anyone who makes the best of who they are to become more than they ever thought possible.
These are my other heros:
