About Me
The Tragic Comic project was born about three years ago. The band plays mostly rock, with influences from a lot of other music styles. The band’s first steps on stage occurred in the summer of 2005, when Tragic Comic participated in several rock festivals and contests all around Portugal, winning most of them, in a total of more than 40 gigs in less than 3 months.During 2006, Tragic Comic maintained the amount of gigs and the hard work. The band recorded a first demo CD, which was used to boost its name, winning them leverage to play more than 70 concerts, from north to south of Portugal. After spreading their energetic rock in the most recognized bars, and being invited to several important events with big names in the music industry in Portugal, Tragic Comic betted on a second demo CD, and reached the media - television shows and local radios all around the country.During the last two years, the band gathered a faithful legion of fans, mostly because of their strong stage presence and interaction during the shows.Currently, Tragic Comic is finishing their debut record. The album, entitled “Welcome To My Showâ€, was mixed and co-produced by Tó Pinheiro, and was mastered by Mika Jussila, from Finnvox Company (Finland), the same company that masters the records of bands such as Him, Nightwish, Stratovarius, Ed Guy, among others.“Welcome to My Show†is a concept record. The story is based on a dramatic romance between two characters.
