My name is EMAR (pron. Ehm-Ahr) and my music is a fusion of several genres: World Music, New Age, Spiritual and Electro-dance. Thanks to my cross-cultural heritage, I speak, write and sing in several languages; English, Serbian, Hindi, Persian, Arabic & Church Slavonic, in hopes that my songs may be appreciated by many different cultures around the world.
I am grateful to live and record in Canada where people from all religious backgrounds live in harmony and peace. It hasn’t always been like that for me; My country of birth, the former Yugoslavia, has been divided through many wars. Though the population speaks the same language, there are three religions that separate them; two of which divide my own parents. Rather than choosing sides, I have chosen spirituality, a way to embrace all religions and discover my own path to God/Love/Higher-self.
Through my music, lyrics and spirituality, I hope to awaken the “we are all one†consciousness in our world.
I have love and acceptance for all people and religions, and I know in my heart we are all ONE. There are many paths to the same source of LOVE and it is up to you to choose yours.
