The Uprights

Somewhere in 2002/2003 we (Rienko, Leen, Johan, Jan, Ronald, Enno) organized a evening to make some easy reggae tunes. This worked out quite well and soon did it again and again and again. And we thought lets start a band. Later in 2005 Ilse and Lisanne joined us for backing vocals. And our latest (2006) member is Donald another trumpet that gives the sound that extra bit more.
Our first song was: ‘The way of the upright’. And that is how we came to the name. In the Proverbs (in the Holy Bible) one can read what ‘upright’ is all about. That’s the way how we try to bring the good news; upright. Though the wicked will not like it. We’ve played at local festivals, local TV and radio. 2006 we took it easy and didn’t do much shows, because we had to write some more songs. So we did and in 2007 we will play some of those in upcoming shows.
“Where is the CD?” you say? Uhmm, I guess we didn’t ask enough money for our shows, because we can’t afford it at the moment (No label and perhaps we are a bit lazy). Sorry about that. We’ll try to change and get that CD coming. Sight?
