is an european "one stop" recording service for film, TV, CD, video games, publicity etc., making easier the work of composers, producers and artists. We organise for you musicians (strings, woodwind, brass, percussion), studio, copying, concert hall, director...and anything related with the recording sessions. ONLINE!!!

"Powerstring a la carte" offers you complete recording services online, in real time, with a session orchestra, formed by professional and recognized musicians. Don't loose time and money travelling; don't compromise on quality looking for an orchestra that adjusts to your budget! Many companies develop and offer virtual orchestras for your production. Powerstring brings a real orchestra to your studio on a virtual route. Connecting with our recording room, you will have total control, thanks to a connection of audio / video in real time, and you will be able to talkback and intervene in the process at any time (broadband connection necessary).WHY POWERSTRING?
We live in the Age of Globalization and telecommunications - let's take advantage of this! Having an orchestra at your disposition is expensive and many producers looked for alternatives in Eastern Europe. But this implies travel expenses, accommodation, renting equipment, technical staff and a studio space, and all this before you consider the honorarium for the musicians. Low cost orchestras are not stable groups and get musicians together only for specific projects, therefore the quality that they offer is not comparable with the quality of a stable and professional orchestra like ours.
Powerstring offers you extraordinary musicians to a very reasonable price. Using our services you can be sitting in a room anywhere but with of virtual control by video / audio in real time. You will be able to talk directly with the session room from any recording studio with Internet connection or even from your home! We adapt our work to fulfil your needs, providing a wide fan of complete services: recording, arrangement, edition, mixing, copying. We put at your disposal anything from 1 musician, up to a full symphony orchestra of 100 members to satisfy all the needs of any type of project: (i,e soundtracks for movies and video games, CD, advertising, etc).

Contact us and explain your project. Together we will agree the services you really need, will be able to schedule possible dates of recording and talk about budget and prices. With Powerstring you'll enjoy personalized professional services with a reasonable price, that won't leave you feeling disappointed!
Once realized the first contact, we will send you a budget (without commitment) and a model of contract in Adobe Acrobat Reader format(.pdf). If you agree with the Terms and Conditions and want to contract our services, just send back the signed contract pre-pay 50 % of the total of the budget. When we receive the contract and the payment, we will provide you an FTP account. This way, you can upload all the files, we need for the session (tracks, scores, click track, etc.) For bigger projects, you can send us a DVD or a harddisk. We have to receive these files minimum 72 hours before the first recording session.
To supervise the recording sessions, you can visit us in one of our studios (accomodation optional), or connect yourself to our Virtual Room from the place of your choice with access to Internet (Broad Band necessary). In both cases you'll have the possibility of monitoring the session in stereo, seeing the recording room and talking directly to the musicians or the control room, thanks to the real time audio/video streaming.
If you choose the comfort of using our Virtual Room, we will provide you with your personal ID and Password for access and one week before the first session, we will realize a test of the connection to assure a perfect functionality of the system.
Other services
Edition and mixing are optional services and not included in the session, but they are available to special prices.
We offer also services of arrangement, orchestration and instrumentation. If you have an idea - our composers and arrangers will make it real.
Technical stuff
You will receive the recorded tracks .WAV or .AIFF format, with a resolution of 16 or 24 bits and a frequency of 44.1k up to 96k. Please, let us know your preferences!
If your project requires the recording with click track, please, upload on the FTP account an Audio Click Track and a MIDI File Standart (0 Tempo Map) for every cue. The click track and the pre-recorded tracks should have the same characteristics as the Powerstring Recording Session (format .WAV or .AIFF; 16 or 24 bits; 44.1k or 48k). Remember! We should receive all the tracks minimum 72 hours before the first session. Before the uploading of the files, please, compress them to a .ZIP or .RAR or upload a disc image (ISO).
The whole Powerstring Session will be recorded on Pro Tools Harddisc Recording System with up to 32 channels. To obtain detailed information about the equipment, please, contact us.
The cost of the Powerstring Session depends on the number of musicians and includes also director, studio, recording engineer and copying of the scores. Powerstring a la carte can provide you soloists and small ensembles (2-8 musicians) or medium and big orchestras (15-100 musicians). We can provide also choirs to 4 voices (soprano, alt, tenor, bass) or a Big Band to the same price as an orchestra with the same number of musicians.
The duration of a Powerstring recording session is 4 hours. For projects with more than 4 sessions, we have discounts and special prices. Normally, an hour of session results in 3-4 minutes of finished music. If your project needs less than 3 hours, we can offer the participation in a Group Recording Session. After the last Powerstring Recording Session and receiving the payment of the remaining 50% of the initial agreed budget, we will upload the recorded tracks on your FTP account in a maximum term of 48 hours.
