Hermann Schenker
was first plotted out in the twisted minds of Ville, Jussi and Kalle in autumn of 2005 as they were growing increasingly bored with the current state of what these days passes as music. In a blinding revelation
they saw the future, covered in grease and blooming with insanity, and they chose to call it Schenker Fantasy. This sight, almost biblical in it's proportions, needed also a guitar player and that would be one of our dearest fiends Jansku. The following years passed consisting of vile misuse of musical instruments as tools of home-made terrorism and they developed a set of songs they felt were strong enough to define the Schenker sound. Songs were recorded with this line-up of Ville, Jussi & Kalle (as Jansku was held by military duty), when another revelation struck them. Kalle started to have special feelings towards bass and wanted to pass the drum throne to his brother Eetu, who agreed to join the madness.
So, in the year 2009 of our lord Satan, a new Hermann Schenker recording has been put out, a split 7" with our good buddies Death Toll 80k. The leper colony known as Lappeenranta again produces some very strange and violent sounds.
We have some new songs piled up (some of them we've played on our past gigs) and we're already thinking about the next release. Nothing is certain at this point - it might end up being an EP or an album, and it might come out whenever. So watch this space and stay vigilant!
