House music DJ KRISTIN! Started DJ’ing at the age of 18 which enabled her to max out her first credit card on a set of tables. She began breaking after falling into the Chicago breakdancing scene shortly after she started DJ’ing. Her major House & Booty House influences are Kaskade, Stacy Kidd, Green Velvet & DJ Funk. She has recently written, produced & arranged two tracks, titled ‘Take Me Home’ & ‘Faraway’ that can be found and purchased on snocap.com. The tracks have soft chords, prominent house beats, touch of latin percussion, and soulful vocals. In contrast to what Kristin has currently been spinning. For example, she is creating a mix of Booty House ‘DJ Funk’s, Work That’ track mixed with ‘Stacy Kidd’s, The Movement.’ This is creating a unique blend on House Music.DJ KRISTIN! Was born to a Filipino, immigrant family in Chicago, IL. Growing up, Kristin danced her life away to Pop Music and decided to take it a step further. Unfortunately for her, the Dance & House Music scene is dominated by gender bias men. There are few women that are taken seriously and found in this market. Kristin is not looking to book a gig based on image. She books show were you’ll find underground “househeads†that are there for House Music, not the image of a female DJ!DJ KRISTIN! Has a degree in Audio Arts & Acoustics, with a concentration in Sound Design & Production. Her understanding for Sound Contracting, Production & Engineering enhances her live performances. She has experience as a Recording Engineer with different Chicago-land act including a variety of Jazz Bands, Classical Music Radio Station Recording & Latin/Acoustic artist “El Payo.†She is currently committed to achieving her short-term goals. The fall is dedicated to creating more tracks and she is in the process of a creating Booty House track. She is also booking more shows in the Chicago-land area to expand her already existing fan base.Kristin started DJ’ing in Chicago Clubs including: Jet Vodka Lounge, The Wild Hare, De Ja Vú, Olé Lounge, Bar Vertigo, Dantés, Cananas Bar & Lounge, Nar Hookah, Brothers Bar, Corosh & Lead Way Bar. She has also performed at a variety of house parties and events within the House Music scene.She has a love for mixing, Up Beat House & Booty House that has been addictive to lively & energetic audiences. She creates a entire performance while she spins, by incorporating her break dancing skills, while collaborating with a variety of vocal & instrumental artists. The track ‘Take Me Home’ features Soul / R&B vocalist Lydia Moore. They perform together live, with Lydia on the mic, Kristin on the keys & Desereé Fawn on the kit.Kristin is looking for Househeads to perform for and with.
