You may be wondering how a Northeasterner like myself ended up in the Midwest, but that story is for a different time and place. I moved to Dallas in August for work, and I think that it's safe to say that I'm still adjusting to living in "God's Country"! I spend most of my time working and sitting in traffic...what an exciting existence! Outside of work, however, I think that I'm actually pretty fun...

My Interests

As of late...enjoying decorating for Christmas, shopping for the people I love, and getting ready to be done traveling for a little while...also more generally...drinking strong black coffee, reading, learning, traveling, shopping, giggling, listening to music, attempting to cook and entertain, watching and playing sports, sitting on my back porch contemplating the meaning of life, thinking of new ideas even if they never some to fruition, being outdoors, enjoying sunshine and rain, hanging with friends, missing my sisters across the miles, watching artsy movies, discussing theology and philosophy, playing cards, having fun, trying new things, laughing at myself as the result of trying new things, living and loving...

I'd like to meet:

You...maybe...? I honestly don't really sit aorund thinking about the people that I'd like to meet...Cleary, I would have a much more clever answer for this question if i did though.

Trip

It's a different place--a good place; a place that I wish could be reality. Since it can't for a plethora of reasons, I can console myself with trips to that place. Sometimes they're long journeys and...

Numbness

Life gets so confusing when you know what you're losing. We do so much to drown out the pain...we stay busy, we try and not leave ourselves alone with our thoughts, we drink, we sleep, we p...

Why...?

Why, oh why, do people who love us feel the need to hurt us? I know that all I ever do in blogs is ask questions without answering them, but I don't understand why...I know that none of us are perfect...

Fear...a friend who's misunderstood...?

John Mayer suggests that fear is a "friend who's misunderstood"...but is fear truly a friend or a foe? One's presuppositions would dictate whether or not fear is misunderstood... Is the fear...
