About Me

Ahh, so I imagine you're probably wondering where all this hoonanaynay was birthed, aren't you??? Well, I'll tell ya as best you can.It all began when Manny got off the road, having made a horrible travelling bible salesman and sewn too many seeds to mention at this time, and he was feelin' powerful depressed. What's this life for? Where have all the cowboys gone? What a world, what a world!!!.... When low and behold, a little man with a big old bass came awalkin' by and asked where the nearest can was. Manny began to explain that 'Don't Mess with Texas' is just something people like to say and there are cans all over the place, and then the man began to dance, and without warning began poundin' on that bass with the fierceness of a thunderbolt. Well, it musta been rainin' that day, because at that moment, lightning struck Manny's brain, and a guitar appeared in his hands, and they played with a feverishness that brought the house down. Then they raised their voices together, and lo and behold, a rainbow burst through the clouds! For the first time in his life, Manny had a smile on his face and a plan. He asked Cecil if they could start a band. Well, Cecil got to smilin' too, not only from happiness at this revelation but also from involuntary bodily relief as it began makin' its way down south, but he didn't seem to mind. They had a band, and a dern good one if they could steer clear of the cans. Now all they needed was a little eye candy. Right about that time, one of them night walker ladies was astruttin' by them, shakin' her stuff for all it was worth and countin' her cash from the night before. While it was admittedly her backside they noticed first, but they also noticed that she was hummin' a tune that woulda sent Satan back to church in her sunday best, and they knew they had found their lady, Miss Ophelia...and they've been together ever since. Now you may call it a tall tale, urban legend, or downright horse manure, but if you set down long enough and hear our songs, you may begin to suspect some truth behind the myth.
