SHOW-FILE BLOG:DIRTY BLACK SUMMER..For decades now Kiss fans the world over have plastered on their hero's war paint,taped cardboard armor to their pasty forms and slung broomsticks around their pencil necks.
The concept is nothing new. But it has never been taken this far. Welcome to the world of THE IMPOSTERS.A rag tag combination of Actors,Film makers,Artists and musicians that comprise the worlds longest running,largest and most insane Air Guitar tribute to KISS-Or any band for that matter.
The Imposters were created in December of 1990 for a High School Air Guitar competition. Somehow the band ended up lasting for Eleven years and gained a roster of Fifteen band members. And this group was never content to step up to the Garage Stage and simply churn out the same show time and time again,every incarnation of Kiss has been replicated with loving detail. Make-up era,non-make up era shows and videos,films,spoofs,commercials and home videos have created a vast and interesting tapestry that is The Imposters.
From the opening chords "God Of Thunder" on a HighSchool stage to closing thump of the Creatures make-up version of the "Unholy" video in 2001,the story of The Imposters is a reflection of the lives of all Die-Hard Kiss fans in the global KISSNATION.Six years after the boots have been put into storage,we are putting the final touches on our first DVD called "IMPOSTERS:UN-ORIGINALS"(Named after the 1976 re-release package of the first 3 KISS albums). It features the best moments of our very odd "career" that have been edited into music videos as well as afew funny stories from various members of the group.
