My name is Dana Klosinski. From the time I was born, I can remember music being my life. My father was a very talented man and almost all of my ability to sing came from him. My mother told me that I used to hum songs when I was in my carseat. At 3 I started music lessons for voice and piano. You would think after ten years I would have learned to read notes, but not me. I had what people call an ear for music. I also grew up with a rock band called Vancamp, which helped develope my perfomance. I entered the 4h fair competitions when I was 5 and 6. You had to be seven to even enter, but they let me do it anyway. I won 1st place both years. I then started work on television. I did The Kids Adventure Zone, and perfomed for news center 16. I was ten at the time. Then a life altering event occured in my life. My father passed away. I gave up on music for four years. He was my inspiration! When I fianally jumped back on the wagon I wanted to do something for myself. I stared work on a demo. For fourteen, it was an amazing experience. It got better when they started to play one of my songs on 99.1!
Of course teenage years weren't as easy. I was a troublesome teen with a lot of anger. It got me into a lot of trouble, not only at home, but also with the authorities. From 14 to 20 all I did was write music. Even though I tried to ignore my talent my talent would not ignore me. I went back into the studio in January of this year, starting work on my new album. Money was a big issue so it got cut short. I then got enough stamina to enter another contest. Knite Life Idol ( a u93/Stepping Stones Records collaberation.) It was a good thing I did. I came in fifth place, but as soon as I walked off stage the owner of S.S.R. and his crew approached me with an offer I couldn't resist. They told me they knew I had talent and that they loved my voice. They also signed me to thier label. Now Im almost 21 and I have dabbled in a whole knew world of music. I wrote five songs on Tiffany Conley's cd, did her back up vocals, and helped her with her own vocals. She is an awsome person. Iam also getting back to work on my album "No More Letters", it will be released sometime in 2008. Iam so thankful for what I have went through in my life because it made me a stronger person inside and out. Alot of the songs on the album are a reflection of my teenage years. I could'nt be more pleased in my life now. Iam married and had my first son last May. I can't wait to see if my son will carry on the talent. I hope so! I give everything I have become to God, my father, mother,grandmother,sisters, brothers, husband, kids,and other family and friends along the way. I thank you for reading this bio...
