About Me

I don't talk TO people; I talk THROUGH people.

My Interests

Redefining heroism in a post 9/11 age.... Push ups. Sit ups. Squat Thrusts. Deltoid Flys. A little cardio of course. Power Moves. Online Chess. Non-Fiction. The Board. Hair loss. Jazz. Black coffee. Quaint towns like Portsmouth, Newburyport, Rockport, and Salem. Riding a bike (with gears thank you). Hating. Bossanova. Weddings. Fresh bread. Other Stuff.

Music:

Duke Ellington. Charles Mingus. Sagat. Pharrell. D'Angelo. Prince. Gil Scott Heron. The new Deerhoof record is pretty good. The new Shins album isn't unfortunately.

Movies:

Casablanca. Bullets Over Broadway. Sweet and Lowdown. Midnight Cowboy. Billy Madison.

Television:

is pretty good actually... Everyone loves The office and Arrested Development-so do I. Everybody loves Raymond-so do I. Charlie Rose makes me feel smarter. I'll watch Colbert (even though his show is becoming less and less informative), Stewart, and Olberman too. And who doesn't love the delightful Fraiser and Niles Crane? I'd say that these days, my new favorite show is To Catch a Predator. It gets ya every time!

Books:

Currently Reading: The Sound and the Fury by William Faulkner.

Heroes:

Masters of oratory. Innovators of rhetoric. Also: Harry Truman, Charles Lindbergh, Shirley Chisholm, Jeannette Rankin, Edward Murrow, and Martha Wash.
