Christyne Makita was born in the little fishing village, Fleetwood, Lancashire, in the U.K. in 1973. She left high school and became a professional ice-skater by the time she was 18 years old, training at Blackpool and became an adagio-pairs ice-skater leading shows in Spain and Portugal. Christyne retired from the ice in 2000 to concentrate on her natural musical talent and compose music.
