The Brothers & Co. Entertainers

About Me

Based in Jamestown, Ohio, "The Brothers & Co. Entertainers" began in 1995 and are far more than the average country band. They are a true entertainment group that draws from the fun of old-time Vaudeville with original comedy routines and music. The group provides a complete entertainment experience that often includes magic routines, western artists, and more. There are four primary members of the group. Gery L. Deer, a singer, saxophonist, pianist, and professional whip artist, and his brother, Gary Deer, Jr., a percussionist and singer, are the anchors of the band. Ed Jones, cousin to Gery and Gary, Jr., is a singer, banjo and acoustic guitar player, and sometimes fires up his fiddle for a number or two as well. Jim Karns, an ‘adopted brother,’ is not only the bass singer and bass player for the band, but he’s also an award-winning classical magician and stage announcer. Each member of the group has performed on stage for many years and in many different roles, but this is their favorite. They all enjoy music and play virtually every type of music from The Statler Brothers to Simon & Garfunkle. This family group provides an entertaining centerpiece to any event.Give us a call and come to one of our Saturday Night Practice Shows at Freedom Farm in Jamestown, Ohio. We begin at 6:30 PM with a covered dish carry-in and then an evening of music and fun! Click for our schedule!Call Gery L. Deer for more information at (937) 902-4857 Or Email : [email protected].

Gary Deer, Jr.
A good drummer keeps the band in time, and Gary Jr. is the anchor of this group. He is also the source of many of the group's comedy routines.
Ed Jones
Ed is the group's guitarist and also sings lead and backup parts. He also plays banjo, fiddle, the viola, and 12-string acoustic guitar and writes music as well.

No four-part group would be complete without a bass singer and Jim fills that spot well. The newest member of the group, Jim is also an award-winning magician.
