The applicant has been a professional dancer since 1996 and was awarded a fellowship by the national endowment for culture and the arts (FONCA Fondo Nacional Para La Cultura Y Las Artes) for 2003-2004 and 2004-2005. She is a member of the dance company UX ONODANZA, in which she has participated in diverse dance projects to great public acclaim in Mexico. Her most recent performance with the company was a solo performance in the title role in Extracción De La Locura: Pizarnik Involving both acting and dance. She has also danced with CIRCO RAUS and CIRKO DE MENTE where she combined modern dance with the circus techniques of the trapeze and dance in suspension.
She is a graduate of the Fine Arts National School Of Dance and has been a dedicated student of the Russian school of classical ballet, mime and yoga. She has also
studied butoh with the reknowned masters Ko Murobushi and Yumiko, the José Limón tecnic with Alan Danielson, and the Release Technique with Vera Sander.She has taken the intensive course, New Dance Development, in Amsterdam, Holland in 2005.,and work with 7 fingers from Montreal Canada in the proyect Fibonacci. Her major interest is in exploring the interpretative qualities of all corporal expression in developing her own personal style. She is currently in the process of refining, by including mime and clown elements, the character, Betty boop, whom she has portrayed as a soloist at Bellas Artes. She recently begun teaching dance.D" />
