About Me

Jonas Mattebo is a child of God, by grace. This is a wonderful thing! Music is a way for me to express the thankfulness I feel because of this. Music is also a way to wrestle inner insecurities. But maybe above all, making and playing music is a way to have fun! Sometimes alone, but preferrably with friends. And that's where it all comes together.

I play the guitar (pronounced 'gíttarr') and the mandolin. Me and my wife often sing together, usually in a kind of brothers duo style (as found in the music of the Stanley Brothers, Louvin Brothers, Monroe Brothers and Gillian Welch & Dave Rawlings).

Right now I am planning a recording of a few gospel and worship songs in swedish, with the help from some of my friends. I will post them here when they are done. Until then, I will treat you with some instrumental tunes recorded at home by myself. More to come!

/Jonas
