About Me

Hello, I am ArmyMom Tommie. That is what i sign the books I have written as. They are books that contain some of the poems and pictures that you see on this site. Somewhere back in the years, I became an Army mom. My oldest daughter joined the service because I could not afford to send her to college. She did not hold it against me, and she does not have any regrets. She moved on with what life had given her. My soldier is now a civilian, but I remain in contact with many Army moms and their soldiers. Then my son joined the Navy, and I was a military mom because of that. He too is now a civilian. I didnt join any Navy mom groups, so I am pretty much known as the Armymom. When the war broke out, I had quite a bit of difficulty dealing with it. Living with the fact that my daughter might be called overseas. Actually, she was already in Egypt, about 20 miles from Afghanistan when that began, (but it's a peace camp Mom!),but I still had my worries. A new baby kept her from having to leave with her unit when they were deployed to Iraq, but when maternity leave was over, the worries returned. God helped me deal with the war by giving me these poems that I share with others. I follow His direction. He guided me to put them into two books, and now on this website. He gave me the strength to make it through, and I hope these words help you make it through too. God Bless Our Heroes and Protect them always............. Huggggggssssss ArmyMom Tommie....................................... I went back and reread what i wrote here after i saved the changes. I know I must include the other way I made it through, or a million armymoms (exaggeration, but close) will come pound me with a borrowed 2X4. [email protected]. Without them, I would have stopped writing the poems. Thanks Moms. hugggggssssss

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Courtesy of MsTags.comHeroes and their families. Who are Heroes? Those who have joined the service, ninety-nine years ago, or yesterday. Male or female. They are people who are not willing to admit they are Heroes, because they believe that they are just doing their jobs. One of my Heroes is my daughter, who joined the Army a million years ago, or so it seems. Her Hero is her grandfather, who was also Army. He has passed on. Another of my Heroes is my son. He had joined the Navy not long after his sister joined Army. His father had been Navy in his time. Until my daughter had joined, I did not pay much attention to the military, or patriotism. Funny how much of an influence your children have on your life. My eyes became unclouded as to the persons who protect our country, and the families that ride this roller coaster along with them. These are the people I would like to meet. Parents, brothers, sisters, friends and other family members of Our Heroes. But mostly, I want to meet Our Heroes, and give them one of my great Armymom hugggggggggggsssssssssssssssARMYMOMS AND OTHERS
