Music has always been a big part of my life. In 6th grade I played guitar and sang in front of the class. In middle school I started playing bass and formed a band that played back yard parties. In high school I wrote and recorded songs. I also played cover tunes and my band won several "battle of the bands". During college I played cover tunes and originals in night clubs and continued to write and record music. The early nineties was a good time for original music in the Philadelphia area. My band "Pyramid" was said to be the next band to make it out of Philadelphia. The band acquiring financial backing that enabled us to go to K-Gem studios to record a full length album. But current music was changing. During production of that album, Nirvana debuted on Saturday Night Live, which the band recall as the beginning to the end of our genre of music. The debut of grunge was the kiss of death to bands like Pyramid. So, like many a band of our sound, we ended up disbanding Pyramid in 1992.When the original scene dropped out of Philly, I continued playing cover tunes in clubs. I've been playing clubs for over twenty years. Ironically, in April '08 Pyramid was contacted by Retrospect Records. In June of '08 Retrospect Records released a CD of our music from the late 80's. Apparently hard rock/heavy metal music still goes over in the states & internationally. There will be another Pyramid release from the early 90's plus a future release of my three piece band called Ironclad, which was formed after Pyramid. The first Pyramid CD has sold so well we also have been encouraged by Retrospect Records to reunite. No matter what's going in life, music helps. Music can make bad times better and can make the good times great! I am fortunate to have met and worked with my musician friends and to be able to know and love the people who have supported me. Music has given me memories that will last a life time.
