I am a true road rat. I travel for both my job and for my joy. I spent 6 years on the road working for Arlo Guthrie and I learned quickly that "Home is where my butt is." That still holds true. I love the road, I love going to new places and I adore going back to my "power spots".
My homebase is my little bit of paradise in Florida, 4 acres with a pond, a couple of horses out back and a pig plus assorted cats and dog in residence. Meet some of the critters and see my back pasture. Sadly, Lightly, the equine star of this video, recently passed on. He lives forever in this film shot earlier this year. He and his best friend having fun.

......................................................I also manage my family farm in Illinois and go out a couple of times a year to check on it, walk the fields, and hang out with Farmer Bob. I spent all my summers there when I was young and after my grandparents died, and then my mom, I could not sell. Part of my heart will always be there. All I can really say is "GO ETHANOL"!!! Renewable energy is a great thing and helps us farmers out too. :)I spend as much time as I can in the South of France. The Camargue is a lovely, wild, windswept area south of Provance and ending at the Mediterranean sea. I always feel like I am where I am supposed to be when I am there. I go every May for the Gypsy Pelerinage. That music is my passion and through it I have made the most amazing friendships with an international gaggle of characters. If you ever wondered if a song can change a life, rest assured, it can!I work for an independent record label, METTA|four RECORDS. www.mettafourrecords.com What a great job! I get to work with some amazing musicians (Folk and Americana) and go to lots of conferences and hear fabulous music. Life is indeed good. I am incredibly lucky that my job allows me to work from wherever I can get internet and a telephone. Have laptop, will travel! So I follow the music and look forward each and every day to see where I will end up next. Catch ya somewhere down the road!

....................................................Below is a slide show and a video from my recent weeks of following the music in France. The 10th Ida y Vuelta Festival at La Casa Musicale in Perpignon, France. A great FREE music festival that brings together the multi-cultural community, French, Gitan, Manouch, Arab, Spanish, Catalan, in a wonderful blending and sharing of music and traditions. I was there 7-9 of June. GREAT WEEKEND!!!! The band is one of my favorites, Tekameli. It took 8 years to see them and they were worth the wait!
