NINA ROSS(Nina Ross) born May twenty-fourth to a Costa Rican father and an El Salvadorian mother, in Los Angeles California.Nina is feisty, unique and has a very urban appeal. At the age of five, Nina began what would become her passionate affair with music. She spent her elementary years singing in church and toured with a Salsa Orchestra throughout junior high school. By age fifteen, Nina was well known by many local artists as a rapper in the L.A. scene. In high school she began collaborating with members of the “Latin Froz”, a pioneering Latin Hip Hop group and opened up for the legendary RUN-DMC in 2004. Nina toured with the Latin Froz and became well loved and sought after. She has performed at some of the best venues in the city, including the House of Blues, the Ensenada Spring Break Fest, the Smoke Out Fest, the Key Club, the DUB Magazine Car Show, and the Los Angeles Lakers NBA Championship Celebrations. Recognized for her charitable spirit, while participating in the global media event, “Day of the Child”, Nina was honored at the South Bay Music Awards along with the Latin Froz for her gracious contributions. She has also toured several Los Angeles District elementary and junior high schools. Some of her inspirations are Celia Cruz, Mary J. Blige and the immortal Tupac Shauker. Nina has found her voice in an intoxicating landscape of Salsa, R&B, Hip Hop, Reggae and Gospel. Today she raps and sings in both Spanish and English. Nina’s fresh delivery holds the listener willingly captive... and this is only the beginning.
