Entangled Records Ltd is owned and operated by people who have a great interest and love for music. The idea to do this was seeded by our increasing frustration with our difficulty finding the music we like at our local record stores and the discouragement of seeing these valued businesses close in the face of a changing industry. In some small way, we'd like to create that local store atmosphere where friends can meet and discuss and debate about their favorite songs at the moment or of all time. Plus we hope we can help people to discover new music along the way. We came of age during the 80's so-called "college rock" days and found our tastes tending towards indie and imports. In other words, we found joy in discovering music that took a bit of effort to learn about and to find. That passion still lies within us so we encourage people to share their thoughts and ideas with others by reviewing items or suggesting what we're all missing out on. Our goal is to offer a personal atmosphere and the best service to our customers.
We will be sending out a weekly newsletter every Friday that will include new listings, music news, and occasionally an editorial article or live review. So if you would like to receive the newsletter: "create an account" and tick the "newsletter" box (no purchase necessary). The website is a work in progress, we are continually making improvements and adding new items on an almost daily basis. As we get started, our inventory will be limited, but we are building it as fast as we can. With that in mind, we are more than happy to take special orders. Our stock will mostly be based on our diverse and evolving tastes and a focus on independently released music and difficult to find imports to provide an outlet for much needed exposure. We encourage everyone to offer their opinions and suggestions on what we're missing out on, or how we can improve the sight. We'd also like to get involved directly with bands and small labels to help make their music more accessible. As we progress, we hope to add additional forums for feedback and discussion.
