IRISH STEW of Sindidun

About Me

Biography

The story about Irish Stew of Sindidun began in the late 2002. Bojan and Nenad who were acquaintances at the time, were bonded by their love for irish music. After several attempts Nenad persuaded Bojan to start rehearsals, which started in January 2003. At the beginning they only jammed casually. In the following months several other people joined the band and the whole thing started to look more serious. Just before their first public performance on 26th of June 2003 at “Celtic Night” radio show, the band got its name.
Numerous gigs across Serbia, that followed shortly, were attended by increasing number of fans. This resulted in audience awards, won on every demo festival participated by the band. Started as irish traditional music cover band, they soon evolved and began writing their own songs. Music they now play can be described as a mixture of punk-rock and various other genres, mused by irish music motives.
“So many words…” album, released by “One Records” in October 2005, was a product of exhausting personal work. Afterwards, the concert activities were continued, with the band performing at most Serbian rock festivals that matter, simultaneously creating new songs which left a stronger personal touch. Finally, in March 2008, a new album named “Dare to Dream” was released, again, by “One Records”.
