50 Million Beers

About Me

IT WAS SOMEWHERE round the mid 1980s, through a fog of square wine and sudafed in a tumbledown crash crib in inner city Sydney. A combo was born close to all amenities. The Harold Park Hotel, Wentworth Park Dog Track and Glebe TAB.Their first record ALL BETS ARE OFF came out in the late 80s, and has become a highly prized and impossibly rare item. The second record NO CASH OR DRUGS was released in 1994. Luckily for future historians, hundreds of copies survive.Charlie Maclean and Mark Cornwall conceived the band initially as an excuse to play George Jones songs, get paid and drink all at the same time. Pedal steel player Graham Griffith signed on early and remains the third founder member of the Beers still standing. Approximately 20 other brave and bold players have come and gone. They still bear the scars. IN 2007-With drummer Keith Newman & The Rev JD Love on guitar, 50 Million Beers completed their 3rd record " Ashfield Skyline".Ashfield Skyline is available through Vitamin Records: [email protected] MyWackoSpace MySpace Layouts MySpace Graphics MySpace Icons Contact Tables
