Why would anybody want to be a singer and writer of alternative music in Trinidad and Tobago? After almost fifteen years in the business, believe me, the question has come up a few times! The thing is, I love to sing; I love to feel that connection with an audience and give them something positive. And as long as I can touch someone's heart, make someone think or just express how I feel, I'm going to keep doing it. Music has given me so much. It's surrounded me with the most talented, creative friends and given me so many experiences I really treasure, including the chance to travel. I've performed in Paris, London, Jamaica, Venezuela, Dominica... Over the last couple of years I've discovered a passion to help other people get closer to their dreams too. I started a monthly open-mic concert series called Songshine, which has grown to be a really special event. I've had the support of Trevor's Edge Bar, which has provided the show with a home, as well as lots of gifted performers and warm audiences that keep coming back. With the help of many, what started as a little idea of mine become a real space where artists can share, grow and interract. Massive love to you, Songshiners! Forgive me if I like to keep my personal life more private though. I'm a girl like that. But let's just say I've been blessed on that front too, with the kind of friends and family I wish everybody had. So that's me. I still believe in in miracles, and in music. And I believe in love.
