IN THIS WORLD THERE IS A LOT OF GOOD AND ENLIGHTEN THINGS, THE SMILE IN A CHILD FACE, A FIRST LOVE, AND THE POWER OF OUR DREAMS. BUT LIKE WE KNOW NOT EVERYTHING IS WHITE AND PURE AND THERE IS DARKNESS IN OUR LIVES. BROKEN HEARTS, HARD GOODBYES, AND WARS…WE LIVE IN A GRAY WORLD, WITH NOT ENOUGH COLOR AND NEVER TOTALLY BLACK HAVING THE HOPE THAT SOMEDAY WE WILL PAINT IT BACK.MUNDO GRIS (GRAY WORLD) IS A SPANISH ALTERNATIVE INDIE ROCK BAND THAT BLENDS HEAVY CLASSIC ROCK INFLUENCES, LATIN SOUNDS AND POWERFUL SPANISH LYRICS TO BRING YOU A UNIQUE MIX OF ACOUSTIC AND ELECTRIC SOUND THAT WILL TRANSPORT YOU TO A DIFFERENT PLACE IN MIND, BODY AND SOUL. JOSE GONZALEZ - vocals/rhythm guitar Borned in Tijuana, Mexico and from very early age his feet touched American soil always had influences of 70's rock and of the northern and regional Mexican sound. Thanks to his parents that always had music at home. Living in Los Angeles, California and its deserts, Jose started to show more interest in performing music. Starting under a group of rock in English " Café Society " with influences of 90's rock. And in years to come with a group of goth rock "Black Vacancy" that earned the prize for the best goth band in the Los Angeles area given by ROCKCITY NEWS. But returning to his roots, to form"Mundo Gris" (Gray World ) in Las Vegas, Nevada this time taking the guitar and giving voice to everything that surrounds us with a unique sound and perspective.
Jose Gonzalez… Nacido en Tijuana, Mexico y desde muy temprana edad sus pies tocaron suelo Americano siempre tuvo influencias de rock de los 70’s y del sonido norteño y regional mexicano gracias a sus padres que siempre tenian musica en casa. Viviendo en Los Angeles, California y despues en sus desiertos, Jose empezo a demostrar mas interes en la musica, empezando a tocar el bajo con un grupo de musica de rock en ingles “Café Society” con influencias del rock de los 90’s. y en los anos venideros con un grupo de rock goth “Black Vacancy” que gano el premio de mejor grupo de goth en Los Angeles dado por ROCKCITY NEWS. Pero queriendo regresar a sus raices, formo el grupo "Mundo Gris" en Las Vegas, Nevada esta vez tomando la guitarra y dando voz a todo lo que nos rodea con un sonido unico y nueva perspectiva.
CALEB "JIMMY" CHIDESTER- LEAD GUITAR
Nacido en el pequeno pueblo de Roosvelt, Utah su padre Chris lo introducio a los sonidos duros del rock de sus influencias. Led Zeppelin y otros... como Jimmi Hendrix, Van Halen, Boston, Black Sabbath, tambien Stevie Ray Vaughn, Creedence Clearwater Revival y Metallica. Desde su nines a Caleb le gustaba mucho los deportes y la naturaleza, hasta que un dia su padre le llamo la attencion a la guitarra a la edad de 14 anos. Cuando Caleb tenia 22 anos se movio a vivir en Vegas y tomando el consejo de su padre, empezo a buscar un grupo con quien tocar. En 2007 el destino dejo que conociera a Jose Gonzalez y Mundo Gris y lo que el futuro espera esta por escucharse...
Caleb "JIMMY" Chidester... Was born in the small town of Roosevelt, Utah soon after his father Chris introduced Caleb to the Hard Rock sounds af his influences. Led Zeppelin, and others... from Jimmi Hendrix, Van Halen, Boston, Black Sabbath, to Stevie Ray Vaughn, Credence Clearwater Revival and Metallica.In His early childhood Caleb was more in tuned with sports and the rugged outdoors, until his father turned his attention to the guitar at age 14. When he was 22 Caleb moved out to Las Vegas and took the advice from his father and looked into joining a band, in 2007 destiny had him meet Jose Gonzalez and joined Mundo Gris and what the future holds is soon to be HEARD...
SERGIO SARMIENTO-DRUMS
Nacio en Bogota, Colombia desde los 15 años se a preocupado por aprender musica, tuvo su primera banda de rock tocando bateria cuando tenia 16 años, tambien a tocado en bandas desempeñandose como guitarrista. Crecio en un hambiente rockero y por esta razon sun influencias van hacia el heavy metal de los años 80’s. Tambien escuchando bandas en español y con influencias de bateristas de bandas como Soda Stereo, Caifanes, angeles del infierno, entre otros.
Sergio Sarmiento… Borned in Bogota, Colombia by the time he was 15 years of age he demonstrated firm desire for learning music, Sergio had his first band of rock playing drums at age 16 and has also played lead guitar in other bands. Growing up in a rocker atmosphere during the 80’s heavy metal movement and for that reason this is one of his main influences. Also listening to bands in Spanish and with influences of drummers from bands as Soda Stereo, Caifanes, and Angeles del Infierno among others.
