The goal here is to help people recover from sexually violent experiences, give them resources and guidance to overcome the major obstacles that come with sexual abuse and to help educate others on how to reduce the chance of sexual violence against an individual.I am a trained, certified victims' advocate through the Utah Coalition Against Sexual Assault. With this certification, I am bound to a confidentiality law, meaning that anything that you tell me will remain confidential unless it involves a minor, a senior citizen or a handicapped individual, or if your life/well-being or the life/well-being of another is in eminent danger. In the above circumstances, the law requires me to report it to the police immediately. If you wish to share with viewers what you tell me, please state so plainly.
My goal in life is to open a women's clinic/shelter on the west side of the wasatch front. The bottom floor will be both a medical clinic and somewhere to see therapists, detectives, case workers, etc. The upper floor(s) will be a women and childrens shelter for escaping violence, open to homeless women and children escaping rape on the streets or other iminent violent threats, and to women and children leaving a life of domestic violence. This has been a long-term dream of mine, and I want to thank everybody who has encouraged and supported me in this. It means the world.
