As Walt Whitman once wrote, I contain multitudes, or something like that! hahah Some call me conflicted, but I tend to see the world from many different angles and live it from those same angles as well. I like to live every day as my last and though I've partied around the globe with some of the best, now I'm a mom and I enjoy reading and playing with my children the most. Not to say that I've retired my dancing shoes, as you can see in my pics, I'm still a hot momma and I plan to stay forever young and retain my youthful style and spirit as long as G-d allows me to breathe.
I started my life in a land called Cleveland and now I reside in the suburbs of Chicago. I've lived a few places in between the two as well.
Music is a big part of my life. My father and mother were both amazing singers, and I started singing in a performing chorus and making music with my father at an early age. I grew into Hip Hop in the 80's painstakingly memorized every word of every song I heard and soon became a rapper myself and later on a performance poet. Nowadays I love reggae music, especially dancehall reggae. No matter how down I'm feeling, I can listen, sing and dance to a few reggae tunes and my spirit will be lifted. My love for reggae parlayed into promotions and eventually I founded and brought the Midwest Dancehall Queen Competition to Chicago in 2005 and held the competition again in 2006 and 2007. I own a website called chicagoreggae.com as well that I founded in 2001.
My life has been full of ups and downs, but one thing I can say is that it's never been boring. I have faith that whatever I ask for, I will receive. I just need a little guidance on the right things to request ;)
Thanks for reading and hopefully you're enjoying the tunes. I believe that G-d brings everyone into each other's lives for a purpose.
