Born Julian Blake Ray, on the 25th of March 1989, this talented young man hails from the great city of Philadelphia. He developed a love for music at the tender age of two, singing melodies around the house. He then moved on singing leads as the youngest member of the children’s choir of Shekinah Revival Temple, along with his brother Devin Ray, at the age of three. He later joined the Pennsylvania Boys Choir when he discovered that he had absolute pitch. Many close to him, including his mother, Yolanda Ray, his brother Devin Ray and musicians from his home church, including Deveron Patterson and Aaron Williams, have influenced Julian. His other influences include Stevie Wonder, Boyz II Men, and Donny Hathaway. He began songwriting at the age of 14. Julian Later developed a love for the piano, which he started playing at the age of 16. He completed an underground CD inside the living room of his own home in December, 2006, entitled The Formation of Jewelz.
