We all want to be rich and successful. We all want to have beautiful wives and Brad Pitt-esque husbands and nice cars and no worries. But in the chase of these things people become less than who they are, diminish and dishonor themselves.So maybe I do want to be rich and have everything, just like the rest of us. But given the choice, I prefer to be part of the higher human emotions instead, of this thing we call love, of this strange madness we call life. If I had to be rich and subdued, or penniless, and free to make the music I feel that comes from these higher human emotions, well, I choose penniless, then, and happy.Whichever it may be, I brought the music I feel, the sound that I make, to you all.
