Born Cosimo Frank Papaianni, December 12th, 1983, Edmonton, Alberta.
My early years in Alberta were spent in good Catholic schools and my high school years were spent in the lower mainland of British Columbia. School was not my favorite pastime, and it was never easy for me, but I somehow persevered. While in high school, and amidst all the usual teenage angst, my love of music got a chance to develop for the first time. Later, money was hard to come by for studio time and I once held three jobs at the same time - I slaved away in a sawmill, worked for a furniture company, and stocked grocery shelves - all to spend my hard-earned cash on recording opportunities.
Music has kept me going through hard times, when people that I have loved passed in and out of my life, and as I struggled to make a living on my own. However, no matter what the situation, I have always kept my head up and moved my life and my business forward. Moving to a creative haven like the Vancouver area, was conducive to kick starting my music career. Because music has always been my dream and my vision, I was able to create Crown 604, a Canadian West Coast hip-hop organization covering many angles of the game, such as MC/singing, music production, web development, apparel, etc. The respect, recognition and support of the industry has kept me on-track and able to make Crown 604 a viable venture. Tracks such as Who The **** Are You? from the Italian Movement (with Carmine Gotti, Salese, G-Fella, and other upcoming Italian rap artists), and Sticky Flo on the Playlist mixtape (hosted by DJ Kay Slay, i.e. the Drama King), are examples of my hustle.
I have always been inspired by the heart and dedication shown by such artists as Naz, 2 Pac, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and The Beatles. Their energy has helped keep me pushing to the next level, in the hope that I will get mine. It is possible to do anything that you put your mind to – you just have to work hard for it.
Dedication: to my childhood friend, R.I.P. Giovanni Alexander Turlione.
