I grew up here in South East Texas(Nederland to be exact)...and live in Houston now with my 2 sons. It is my home and I love it. THere is so much to do here and I have some really good friends that make it home. I work as a designer in the Petrochemical Industry. I love the blues, but am truly just a big fan or live music. My favorite place to go for live music is Shakespeares...followed closely by The Big Easy...but there are numerous other venues that are great as well.I am presently in the process of renovating my townhouse which keeps me busy for the most part...when I am not working, or try to be a decent role model for my son's. I have a 20 and a 17 year old. The story about my oldest brother and my Mom with the cast iron skillet seemed to do the trick help keep them in line. The oldest is attending UofH and the youngest is in High School...not many worries there. Both are really good kids. Working in the field that I do is pretty crazy right now and would be considered a perfect example of supply and demand...there is so much work out there presently, and not many people to do it - times are definitely good. And that is a good feeling – to know that I can be there for my sons in ways that I was not able to a couple of years ago.
