J. WYNDAL GORDON, ESQ. was born in Washington, D.C., and raised in Maryland where he has been a resident his entire life. He began high school at Friendly H.S., and graduated from H.D. Woodson H.S. in Washington, D.C. in 1987. In 1991, Mr. Gordon graduated from Morgan State University, and in 1995, the University Of Baltimore School Of Law. He was licensed to practice law that same year in both Maryland State and Federal Courts.
Mr. Gordon is a well-respected trial attorney who has litigated a variety high profiled cases that have received local, regional, and national attention. Perhaps most notably, in 2006, Mr. Gordon was appointed as lead stand-by counsel to assist the alleged “D.C. Sniper”, John Allen Muhammad in the case of State of Maryland v. John Allen Muhammad,Case#: 102676.
Mr. Gordon has received numerous accolades, awards and certificates for his participation and dedication to community service.
Mr. Gordon is zealous advocate for individual rights and freedoms. In June 2006, he ran for Maryland Attorney General, making him the first African-American in the history of Maryland to run for that position.
Mr. Gordon has been invited to speak at numerous seminars and engagements in the United States and abroad. He has been a guest on several national cable and local news television programs in both the Washington, D.C., and Baltimore areas. He has also provided expert legal commentary on several local radio shows.
