1988 We welcome you to the world of Adrian Bryan Shandler a.k.a DJ Adi who always had the passion for music at a young age. Being in High school Adrian had the heart and love of becoming a DJ. Working on a part time basis with a Magazine Company called TOP 40 who also was the leading music magazine that informed the public about concerts new releases radio parties and other to name a view. Adrian got involved buy selling subscriptions and selling the music. Spending his time going to nightclubs and listening to the DJ’s play.1996 Adrian started his DJ career in the heart of Pretoria back in 1996 at a club called JD Blondes in Brooklyn South Africa.1997, he started doing promotional work for the record industry to the liking of EMI/Virgin, Gallo/RPM Dance, BMG Africa and now currently Sony Music, Sheer Sound, Universal, Just Music and Tunnel Records (Germany) Essensual Music. Adrian has done a numours of radio advertisements for clubs, record companies and corporate companies. Adrian become the most diverse DJ in the entertainment field, playing from the sixties, seventies, eighties, nineties and current hits.1998 - 1999, Adrian worked for a retail company by the name of Top CD as a sales consultant up until 2003. His fame came to rise when he got involved with promoting the biggest selling compilation ‘BUMP’ which was a unique album mixed by DJ Costa. The series sold GOLD, PLATIUM and DOUBLE PLATUIM.2000 – 2006 In 2003 he joined up with a company called Look ‘n Listen which is the biggest retail company in South Africa. He worked as a sales consultant and In-store radio DJ. Adrian helped out with numours record labels to help promote parties, events and tours to the liking of Westlife, Paul Van Dyk, DJ Sammy, Whitney Houston, UB40, KWS, Indecent Obsession, 2 Unlimited, Michael Jackson, Live, Tiesto, Metallica, Spice Girls, Billy Ocean, Phixx, Daze and Modern Talking. Adrian did a sound engineering course through Downtown Studio, which is a division of Gallo Record Company and an album marketing internship with Sheer Music SA2006 – 2007 Moving to Malta was a big stepping-stone for him and was lucky enough to get his 1st radio show on the Island with Smash Radio 104.6fm. Adrian was given the drive time show and started to get involved with the listeners by playing requests, dedications and being the first to dedicate his show to local artists of Malta with Interviews with Ira Losco, Chasing Pandora, Thea, and Indigo. With Adrian’s ability he went one step further by Interviewing Westlife, Steven Seagal, ATB, Paul Van Dyk, Tiesto, Cascada, Kevin Richardson (Backstreet Boys) and Shane Ward. Adrian asked if he could move into the evenings so he could entertain the listeners with the best in commercial dance music. Friday Nights became a landmark for Adrian teaming up other DJ’s from all over the world getting the latest releases sponsored by Geminidj in Malta. Adrian was honored when he brought the countdown of the TOP 100 DJ’s and The Love Parade on airwaves of Smash Radio 104.6fm.
