T he Jamaica Africa Development Association (J.A.D.A.) was established in 2005 by Marcus P. Gardner, as a charitable, non-partisan, non-profit organization to give children of Jamaica and Africa the necessary tools they need to fight against poverty, disease and ignorance.
.. ..
J.A.D.A. understands that childhood education will better equip girls and boys with the knowledge and skills they need to adopt healthy lifestyles, to protect themselves from HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases, and to take an active role in social, economic and political decision-making as they transition from adolescence to adulthood. A basic quality education is guaranteed to enhance lives, end generational cycles of poverty and disease and will help provide the means for sustainable youth development.
.......... ..
When the founding members of the Jamaica Africa Development Association (JADA) decided to form this foundation we chose education and public health as our primary concerns because we believe that it is the instrument by which our aims could be brought to fruition.
.. ..
JADA aims to combat illiteracy and ignorance. In order to successfully fulfill these goals, JADA will donate educational supplies to various schools and learning institutions on an on-going basis. As we all know, disease is one of the deadliest enemies of mankind. Therefore it is our primary goal to donate as much healthcare supplies to hospitals and clinics in Jamaica and Africa.
JADA welcomes all volunteers' participants who are willing to render their services and fulfill their assignments with complete and undivided devotion and conscientiousness. The work of JADA is not solely the distribution of money, but also the giving of personal warmth, and also to inspire others to do the same.
