Stranglehold Booking and Promotions started in 2006 in Detroit, MI. Our roster is exclusively Michigan bands. In Detroit, we book rock and roll from all over the world at The Belmont in Hamtramck. Stranglehold occasionally books shows at other venues in Detroit.
Stranglehold is run by Melody "Licious" Baetens, a Detroit-based musician, booking agent, writer and radio personality. Melody has over a decade of live music experience and has toured as a member of several different bands to over 16 countries. Since 1999 she's been a staff writer in the entertainment department at The Detroit News. She's been the main talent buyer at the Belmont Bar in Hamtramck, MI since the club opened in the fall of 2003.
