Waggytail Rescue is a non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and permanant placement of animals in NYC. While we specialize in Chihuahuas, we've helped critters from a Chinchilla to a Great Dane find happy, forever homes.

Most of our animals are rescued from the city pound (kill shelter). We feed them nutritious foods, care for any unresolved behavioral issues.

As all of our rescues live in foster homes until they are adopted, we are always looking for great foster parents. Anyone living in the NYC area interested in fostering a dog can visit our foster page .

Waggytail Rescue is a proud member of the Mayor's Alliance for NYC's Animals !

If anyone has an old one they aren't using, we could also use a digital camera or two, anything that can take simple pics of the dogs we rescue for our files and for our web site profiles.
