I have returned to the Wrestling ring.I am from Elizabeth, New Jersey. I started boxing at 13 years old. My boxing trainer Clarence Devine of Elizabeth PAL started calling me Rocky, because I was a southpaw.He said I reminded him of Rocky Balboa. Funny thing was, I hadn't seen the movie Rocky at that time. I finally saw it two months after I started boxing.I fought 12 fights with PAL, before giving it up for Football.In 1981 I entered Active Duty in the Army. I did my Basic and AIT training at Ft. Sill, Okla. During Basic Training I started boxing with the post team.My overall amateur record was 53-1 (45 KO's)In 1987 after my second tour of active duty, I decided to start boxing as a Pro. I had my first fight in March 1988. I won my first bout by a decision after 4 rds.In November 1988, I fought Daimond Jim Brady in a Boxer vs. Wrestler match. We fought each other to a draw. My last fight was in October 2000. I won in the 6th round, when the ref stopped the fight.As a result of my match with Diamond Jim Brady, I enter the world of professional wrestling in 1989.I started wrestling full time in 1990. though I boxed as; Rocky, it was former WWF superstar Johnny Rodz who gave me the name; Rocky Flash in October 1990.A highlight of my wrestling career came on 1 Jun 91, when I wrestled and defeated former WWF World Champion "The Russian Bear" Ivan Koloff in my hometown of Elizabeth, NJ.Though I won the match, I suffered tears to both of my ACL's.I recovered from that injury and now I Rockin the world!
