I'm not the kind of person who makes a description of himself, but I'm going to write down a few words about me...
My name is Gabi aka OXiD, born 11th of June 1987, Bucharest. I've been in love with music for all my life, my first contact with electronic music was at the age of 10, when I found some magnetic tapes who belong to my parents with bands like:
Yazoo, Alphaville, Depeche Mode, Jean Michel Jarre, etc.
At the age of 12 I discovered some software programs like Dance eJay and Techno eJay, and I began to create some tracks, especially made for every party at the end of the school year.
Also that year I had my first contact with the keyboard, reproducting musical parts from "War of the Worlds - Jeff Wayne", "Genius"(romanian band famous at that time), "Personal Jesus - Depeche Mode", etc.
Since 2003 I've been listening to house music, in particular sets and tracks of Dj Optick, Gabriel and Dresden, Kaskade, Tocadisco, Narcotic Thrust, Dj Kool, etc.
Then I found a program (which I'm still using) and learned the basics of mixing.
My first live show was at a club in Suceava in 26 of November 2006, doing the warm-up for a well-known romanian Dj. Despite the fact that I used a laptop instead of players and mixers, the public had a great time listening to my music.
In October 2007 I was contacted by the manager of a small club, and so I found a residence at Arcade Cafe - Bucharest, Romania.
That time I was also offered the chance to be the moderator of a radio show, by Radio Ultra. The show was called "Fixation" and I had guests like: G.I.C., Till Westwood, Dj Tox, Marc Leaf and others unfinalised proposals to Jay Cox and Fedde Le Grand.
Now, I'm trying to produce an album of electronic music, and hope that the first two singles are released by the end of this year.
