In the Ben Perry Projects I write and record most songs as sometimes it is easier to perform and record the tracks myself when the inspiration comes so that I can draw on that added energy of the moment.
I also like to work with other musicians who can bring in new ideas helping to spark creativity or perform some parts better when I am going for a particular sound.
For example I have used Mike "Daddy" Wild who is a Reggae artist in Bermuda and likes to cross over into the pop/rock scene.
From our hard rock band "Prisoner" I have Glenn Leet on vocals as he has the great rock/metal power scream.
Recently I have had the urge to sing more songs at open blues jams which has grown into a blues trio project.

Old Recordings posted on this site:
- Echos of Zoso was recorded back in 2003 on a 12 string guitar and mandolin using Cool Edit Pro on my computer.
- Running Wild was recorded live back in 1995 with Ernesto Goncalves on drums .
- Magic Mountain Man was written, performed & recorded by myself on one sunny afternoon back in 1993. I was in a Hendrix vibe and just decided to go with it putting down the guitar first followed by bass, drums, vocals.
- Bflat Perry Jam was recorded on my Roland VS880 back in 1997 where I sampled in a cowbell, snare, kick and high-hat from previous drum sessions.
- Travelin Man was recorded back in 2001 in Bermuda on my VS880 with the vocals being spontaneously laid down by Mike "Daddy" Wild.
- Tell Me was recorded back in 2000 in Bermuda on my VS880 with the vocals also being spontaneously laid down, over a track I created the day before, by Mike "Daddy" Wild - previously touring as the "Wildman".
- Black N White Magic was performed and recorded by myself in 1995 on a Tascam488 cassette 8 track.
- Wiccan Trance was performed and recorded by myself in 1994 on a Yamaha cassette 4 track. The cool organ sound came from a cheap childrens keyboard going through my vintage Small Stone phaser pedal. ;>)
