About Me

‘CHASE THE MOMENT’, formerly 'Paralysis' is a five-person outfit generating a powerful, refreshing and memorable sound. They are exploding into the national consciousness. Since forming in Dec 2007, they have appeared on local radio and played at many locations across the Northwest UK. Socially conscious, CHASE THE MOMENT have played at fund raising events for local and national charity organizations
The band members include Laura Yell (lead vocals, bass guitar), Matt Rhodes (guitar), Ant Richardson (guitar), Louis Limon (keys), and Conrad Ankers (drums).
“We live to perform”, says Laura Yell. “Our only goal in our lives right now is to spread our music as far and wide as possible.” Matt Rhodes adds, "Our music has provided us with a lot of experiences that we wouldn't have had otherwise, we feel very honored each time we play for a crowd, I hope that people will relate to our music, and to the five of us. That's what makes playing music so rewarding." Conrad says ”We don't really know how it all came together! It just did, to be honest! ”. Louis follows on ”We want to reach the people of today with our music. Ant feels that ” The band is passionate about their music, but at the same time is full of fun. ”
The bands's earnest emotion, driving guitars, and Laura's strikingly confident range and phrasing set CHASE THE MOMENT apart from the pack, with the joyous noise of songs such as "Face the Truth" and "Tricks of the Mind" evincing a passionate positivism that can't help but move every listener in its path.
CHASE THE MOMENT write their own music, and are soon to be recording their debut album and EP. They are currently gigging all over the north-west UK!
For information or gigs, please do not hesitate to contact the band via myspace, or you can e-mail [email protected]
