About Me

In the Hardcore/Rave hype of 1995, I (Pheugoo) started producing Hardcore house tracks mostly based on movie and Sesame Street samples. In that era my friend came up with the name Pheugoo as well. I've been told it meens something like "Escaping into paradise". Luckily all the songs I made back than have gone lost. Dunno why or when exactly, but suddenly I stopped doing anything at all with music until my 18th. At that age I started playing bass guitar in a puckrock band called "The Nice Dice". We played very melodious catchy good feeling music but unfortunately we never completed our band with a singer. And after 2 years fun we decided to quit. Quickly after that the guitarist of that band reformed a band with me and 2 new lads called "The Forgotten Few". We are still together as we speak and we play alotta rockabilly/punk. But that all.. hasn't got to do anything with what I do as Pheugoo nowadays! In the summer of 2004 I really got into listening to mash-ups/boots and I found a forum where people shared their own creations. (GYBO) There were some good producers over there, but also loads and loads of crappy ones. And those crappy ones inspired me to make those kind of mixes myself. Quickly I made name in that scene with a mash-up of the Smokey and the Bandit theme song mixed with Ushers Yeah. And there the Pheugoo we know nowadays was born...
