About Me

There is a common beat in the hearts of this generation. With this beat is a sound. A new sound of hope, of change, of revolution. There is a new light, ready to reject the empty images of sex and excess fed to its youth. And, one band is poised to pen this revolution. We are For Sake of Forward.
FSOF began as a studio project, founded by songwriter / guitarist Ben Scala, with lyricst / singer Ben Covert on vocals. Scala played all of the instruments, produced, and recorded FSOF's debut album in his home studio. Between Scala's brazen, melodic songwriting, and Covert's candy apple cries, the band was in true fruition.
Their earlier roots hail from the rainy streets of Central New York, where they first formed the band, local pop-punk sensation Almost Better. After a five-year run, the band decided to take a break, soon seeing guitarist Brian Ward's inception into metal megasuccess, If Hope Dies. But, IHD was soon to part ways as well, giving FSOF a chance to regroup, this time with a fresh new spirit and only one goal in mind: To take over the world.
Now, the world readily awaits their arrival, along with their rocket-fueled, self-titled debut. The album's irresistible blend of pop-punk, emo, and rock harkens back to the glory days of Blink-182, Saves the Day, and the more recent Fall Out Boy. This is an album packed with enough infectious hooks and soaring melodies to make every track a hit.
The world of music has long been ready for a change, a sound that is true, a spirit of revolution. For Sake of Forward, here they come.
