Since the age of 9 "Ya Boy J.R" has been writing rymes and putting his music to the test. He was inspired to do music by his fathers friend, he told J.R that if you just make a bunch of words and put them together with a beat you could really create a talent with it.
He thought of it as a good Idea and figured he would try to become something other then do nothing with his life. "Ill admit at first my songs weren't as creative speaking I was only 8 years old haha but as time went by n ya boy got a lil older I became alot better. I would of neva thought I would be where Im at now and I thank god for it."
The age of 13 is when J.R first began to hit the studio and actually get to record something. The first song he ever recorded was called "Lets Get It Poppin" featuring his cousin Doe Boy. He looked up to Doe Boy as a idol when it came to music because he had a style he could relate to. Being the person J.R is he wanted to get better and better so he spent most of his spare time writing music, wether it was in school, on the bus, and of course home.
"I always wanted to be a person the younger kids could look up to and learn things from. Just basically teach kids that you should have a mission in life, i mean all these people talk about dreams n what not but how about make it your mission in life not dream its a mission you want to accomplish." Those being the words of J.R really have a positive meaning to it and I hope it would help you.
Come the year of 2006 J.R had met a kid that was into the same type of thing that he was, so they figured that them doing what they loved together could put a good vibe on the people out there. They decided to just become a group called the GCROWNSOLDIERZ and make their way to the top. Just the beginning of 2006 they released their first mixtape called "G-Nation The New Beginning".
"I mean this was the great movement in my life creating this cd because so many people showed us so much love it was unbelieveable." This was a important part of his music career from bugging out in the studio with Prime Objective and his producer Jimmy and just getting to enjoy what we loved to do. "Alot of recording and having fun in the studio and creating tracks that we knew people were going to love was a good experience".
The first single of the GC mixtape was "I Need A Girl" this song blew up all over their local area. Many people showed them support and alot of love and just gave them the strength to know they could make it to the top. Their now working on their newest mixtape called "G-Nation Go Hard or Go Home". They are saying this is the last mixtape their doing because after this their desting for a major record deal.
"Thats how its going down man, we going to the top after this mixtape so make sure you guys stay updated keep on pouring in the plays and checking the pages. N i just want to say thanks to all our fans and friends who showing us support and really helping us out because with out yall there would be no us.
