Formed in 1997, 909 Hip Hop Dance Troupe represents Riverside, CA. Though centralized around the University of California, Riverside, 909 opens it's membership to all dancers in the community. 909 has created an image that is recognized and respected for their connection to UNDERGROUND hip-hop music. As a team, 909 strives to preserve the roots of hip-hop through the art of dance, inspiring audiences from the Bay Area to San Diego to Las Vegas. Entering its 12th year of existence, 909 will continue on with its legacy for years to come.Every year, 909 hosts an annual hip-hop dance competition called "Ultimate Brawl: Battle of Distinction" which showcases some of the best dance teams in California.
