About Me

Hi. my name is chris ryan. i've been recording independent music in houston for 5 years. i started off with my friend eric at johnny killed rock 'n roll. We recorded tons of great records by great bands. eric moved to portland. now it's just me. i'm keeping up the tradition of recording good people for good prices. i've recorded everything from bands in high school, to touring bands on national labels. i want to record your band.

i just built a new studio. it's pretty cool. if you recorded at the old studio then you will appreciate the perks of the new place: there's plenty of free parking, i've got isolation rooms. there's no set time that we have to be finished, we can leave everything set up so that we are ready to roll first thing the next day! i've upgraded the computer and bought a bunch of new mics. killer!

i uploaded some songs that i have recorded. they sound pretty crappy streaming on myspace, but you get the point.

For more info on prices and recording please check out deadcitysound.com
NEWS!!!! William Hesser of WDH Recordings has just moved in to the studio and brought a ton of gear with him! Combined to form something like what happens in that old tv show where those smaller robot vehicles combine to form one giant bad ass robot thing, the studio is now unstoppable. He will be working out of the studio and if you would like hear his stuff and/or book time with him, check out his myspace page.
