MJG. He started out by creating short poems and stories. Then later adding them to instrumental beats. He found inspiration from poetry like "The Rose That
Grew From Concrete" and "Where The Sidewalk Ends" for his work. Furthermore, leading to his success in poetry competitions and school talent shows. It was then
in high school he decided to persue becoming a major label artist. Already skilled in the art of freestyling, he planned to use rhyme schemes to express himself and his
situations. Iceberg also understood that he would be able to create real life narratives from the listeners' perspective. He noticed how different words created different feelings that may invoke sadness, hatred, or joy. To him this proved how powerful his words could be and he fell in love with the results it conveyed. Iceberg aims to
create a new essence to rap music utilizing his witty, smooth, and rapid-fire punchline style of rapping. At the same time explaining his personal hardships, loyalty to friends and showing his competitive spirit. This is why Omar "Iceberg" Carlos should not be looked upon as just another Southern MC, but an all out lyricist in general.
