DOWNSIDE INC.

Downside Incorporated, also known as Downside INC., was started when guitarist Chris Ferrell and drummer Trent Hollowell started getting burnt out on touring around doing cover songs. I mean lets face it folks, 10 years of playing cover gigs might make you a better player, but you're not going to get a record deal that way!! So, after making friends and building a loyal following with their cover band Diamond Cutt, they decided to branch off and write some original material. After several singers they just couldnt nail down the style they were looking for. So in walks Ted Etheridge, owner and producer of Music Box Studios, offers a suggestion, "Chris why dont you sing?" I've recorded you doing back up vocals and they sounded pretty good. So, HEY, A SINGER IS BORN!! Chris then goes and talks with his friends, and their advice was, "Hey try it!! Your singing is better than no singing." Chris lets them hear some of the demo and they all agreed that he could do it. Well, back they went to writing and rehearsing until they riffed up the demo "The Begining of Hatred." It started in 2005 and ended in 2006. The cd is full of life anthems and everything in between with comparisons to Stone Temple Pilots meets Disturbed meets Foo fighters meets Sevendust and then meets Janes Addiction. It has been compared to a little bit of everything, but all and all it's good rock music in a world that needs a change in the music scene!!! With Chris's melodic vocals, creative guitar playing, and laid back southern charm and Trent's rhythm on drums, and the way they rock, these guys are bound for success!!!!! Thanks, Downside INC.
