About Me

De Formatie Rock was founded in 1982 as the Dutch answer to the The New Wave Of British Heavy Metal and Germans bands such as Kraftforce and Gax Inc. Ever since they are an inspiration for many bands who became famous themselves. However De Formatie is seen as an extreme heavy band, they've got also an sensitive side. This is shown at it's best in ballads as 'Amanda', 'Caroline', 'Angela' and 'Bettina'. But their real power lies within the genre they became famous with: The Hard Rock!
