I am a songwriter. Born in the country in central IL, I grew up wanting to be a farmer. Surrounded by cornfields and pasture as far as the eye can see. I grew up listening to the early Tim Mcgraw cassettes, (All I Want, Not A Moment Too Soon) and a John Michael Montgomery cassette as well. When I reached the age of seventeen I began to express myself through writing. Then I began to write lyrics and tried to express myself through song. I experimented with country music, but it wasn't until early September of 2006, that I realized I have a natural talent for bringing out a great story and great emotion through words. Since then, I've written about 150 songs (as of 1/8/07). I spend most of my day applying my whole heart and thoughts into writing and thinking of great song ideas. The words flow and before I know it, I've written a great song. My vocal ability is flawed due to a late start in singing. I didn't start to sing until about a year ago. I only now picked up a guitar and started learning chords, but I know I can still craft a great song lyrically, and am working on creating melodies. I am looking for any kind of male or female country artist to help me write and produce great music. My inspiration comes from most great country songs, but I strive to create the most original songs. I've had my share of tough patches in my life that have fueled the many ideas and emotions I put into my writing. My parents divorced when I was just getting into high school, I had my share of heartaches in young relationships, I wrecked my last car and almost struck a pole that would have surely ended my life. At the age of 13, the age you're supposed to be finding your identity, I was told that my biological father was not the man who was raising me. So I know what it's like to battle between parents, lose someone you love, to come close to death and come back with a great appreciation for life, and to have to turn your life around completely just to figure out who you are and where you're going. Although I haven't moved out to Nashville and looked for work right now, because of financial strain from my accident. I'm a Psychology major attending Black Hawk College East, a small community college in central IL and I'm headed to Western Illinois University in the fall of '08. I know that I will be writing songs until the day I die. It's my passion and it's what I love to do.
